Join Carol Bjelland for a peek into the history and highlights of Ascension Lutheran Church’s Fair Trade Ministry in Thousand Oaks, CA.

Founded in 2001, the program has grown and flourished into an incredible force for fair trade and is now celebrating its 25th anniversary. What started as a simple idea has grown into a ministry that connects and engages the children, youth, and adults of Ascension Congregation, as well as the students, families, and staff of its School and Early Childhood Center. Located on “Fair Trade Lane,” Ascension’s Fair Trade Ministry features colorful art and shelves brimming with fair trade products from Equal Exchange and other Ministry Fair Trade partners. It’s an inspiring, vibrant space welcoming all to this little intersection of Faith and Fair Trade.
